We went on a short getaway to the Pacific Coast in Central California last weekend. Its coastline is spectacular and there are plenty of enjoyable places for hikes with wonderful vistas. It is usually also not crowded - which I consider another plus.

On the last day before heading back, we visited Spooner's Cove at Montana de Oro State Park. I have never been there before and from what I have seen, I definitively want to go back to explore this area further. When we arrived, it was quite windy and heavy clouds were in the sky thanks to an incoming storm. But this did not stop me from looking for possible compositions. I put my tripod down into the sand and guarded the camera with my body from the wind as much as possible. And I managed to make a few images I am happy with:
